The God Among Dragons

It has now been five years since the first time I completed "The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon". In the spirit of it, I decided to draw a portrait of my favourite young dragon. Since the last time I actually drew him was about two and a half years ago, I may have been rusty. Still, I saw that I pulled it off. I managed to capture the design that I like of him, while keeping to my style. The scars and bared fangs are actually my personal touches for him. There's a reason for the other features. I wanted to show the elements that he wields: fire, which flares from his nostrils; electricity, which I was most subtle with; earth, those are rocks and vines in the corner, which were improvised; and ice, the blue lines to act as cold wind along with a few ice shards. I have also forgotten the last time I drew something so colourful. Since I wanted to give him adult features, I considered giving him a beard of spines and a fin on his shoulder, but dropped that.
After seven practice runs, I drew this on the afternoon of 10 Apr, 2015. I drew with a pencil and then black-lined with two different pens. Coloured with mostly markers and a few pencil crayons. I was listening to a variation of rock music.
