Can a Whale Reach For The Sky?

"He can try if he wants to..."
Finally did it. It was way back in November when I bought two large outlays of cheap canvas, and I finally found something to do with it. Typically, I'm not big on marine wildlife, but a long time ago I was inspired by the work of a man I watch on here. Don't know if he's active on here anymore, though.
It was an opportunity again to practice making different shades in the paints. Normally, blue, white, and humpback whales don't have a dorsal fin. So, I put in the significant difference for the resemblance of a killer whale, colouring in shades of blue.
I did this with acrylics on a cheap canvas 30.5 cm x 40.5 cm. Getting a shot was a pain in the arse, even when the paint dried. I liked that I did something new. Also, the process of this picture, inspired this poem of mine:  agent36496.deviantart.com/art/…
